Builders Competition Dates:

• The Builders Competition 2011/12 launch date is 26 March 2011.
• The competition period will run for 11 months, from payment date 20 March 2011 up to and including payment date 20 January 2012.
• Final calculations for the competition will be done on 20 January 2012 and will be announced at the National Mass Rally in February 2012.
• The final draw will take place in February 2012.
• Note: The competition period commences a month before the first bonus is paid, however, the first set of results will be published on 20 April 2011.

Builders Bonus Dates:

• The first time IFAs can qualify for the Builders 5 Bonus will be on 20 April 2011 and the last qualification date is 20 February 2012.
• The last tranche of the bonus payment is 20 April 2012, based on the first payment being 20 March 2011
• The bonus will be paid for one month after the end of the competition period, that is, you can qualify one month after the competition period.

How to become a Builders qualifier:

• New and existing IFAs can become Builders qualifiers by introducing 5 new Key Appointments within the competition period. All 5 new Key Appointments must have an active premium-paying policy (excluding cash payments) but do not need to have the same DOC. In the event of the IFA being an IFA Only and indicated as such on the application form, he or she must have paid the monthly IFA Business Fee.
• The IFA will become a Builders qualifier once all 5 new Key Appointments have each paid a premium in the same earning period.
• Every new Builders qualifier will receive a Builders badge on meeting the qualification criteria. The badge will only be awarded with the first achievement of the Builders qualification.
• Any IFA introduced to the IFA Business Opportunity, Clientèle products and Builders Competition must have attended an official IFA Presentation and must have viewed the entire IFA presentation.
• IFAs must pay the monthly IFA business fee in order to qualify as Builders qualifiers.
• All Clientèle products are applicable for the Builders Competition and will qualify the introducer for appropriate draws in various categories of the competition.
• IFAs introduced to the IFA Business Opportunity and policies taken up during the competition period will not be excluded from qualifying for other rewards such as bonuses and the annual Incentive Conference.

Once an IFA becomes a Builders qualifier, he/she qualifies for Builders 5 Bonuses and will be considered for the Builders Competition.

Builders 5 Bonus Rules

• An IFA Introducer must refer 5 new Key Appointments (Level 1), each with a premium- paying policy.
• The 5 new Key Appointments do not need to have the same DOCs. The first DOC which will be considered is 1 March 2011 with a debit date of the 2nd onwards, that is payment date 20 April 2011.
• The first time all 5 premium-paying Key Appointments pay their premiums in the same IFA earnings period, the IFA Introducer will receive a once-off bonus of R600.00,. All the policies that are paid for will be considered as Month 1 for purposes of this bonus, and will be flagged as such.
• In the following month (Month 2), 5 of the flagged policies should pay their 2nd premiums in order for a R500.00 bonus to be paid. All the policies which meet Builders conditions and have been paid for in Month 2 (2nd consecutive months premium), will once again be flagged.
• In the third month (Month 3), should 5 of the policies flagged in Month 2 and in Month 1 still be paid for (3rd consecutive premium), the IFA will be rewarded with a third bonus amount of R400.00
• An IFA Introducer may refer more than 5 new Key Appointments and will be paid for each set of 5 new Key Appointments. These payments will be as indicated for Months 2 and 3 respectively, as per the terms and conditions outlined above.
• IFAs must pay the monthly IFA business fee in order to qualify for any Builders 5 Bonuses.
• The Builders 5 Bonus applies to all Clientèle products.
• The last time an IFA can qualify for the Month 1 bonus payment is 20 February 2012
• The last payment date is 20 April 2012.
• All policies for which an IFA Introducer may qualify are new policies captured for payment dates 20 April 2011 to 20 February 2012.
• Builders 5 Bonus replaces Enhanced Club 5 and Enhanced Club 5 Plus, for which the last published payments are 20 April 2011 and 20 June 2011 respectively.
• All cash payments, except policies where cash receipts are raised, will not count towards this bonus.

An IFA is not allowed to make cash or other payments on behalf of their downline.

Builders Competition Rules (Builders 100 - 600)

• All Clientèle products qualify the IFA Introducer for draws in the Builders Competition.
• The Builders Competition starts from 1 February 2011(debit date 2nd onwards) to DOC 1 February 2012 (debit date of 1 February 2012 only). That is, new policies considered for payment on 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.
• All policies used in determining the number of draws in the various Builders categories that an IFA qualifies for, must be premium-paying policies (excluding cash payments) with a DOC from 1 February 2011, with a debit date of 2 February onwards to 1 January 2012 with final debit day being 1 January 2012.
• At the end of the competition, an IFA must have qualified as a Builders qualifier and met the minimum criteria in order to be entered into the various competition categories – must have 100 or more new policies (numbers differ per category) for which at least one premium has been paid during the competition period.
• The total number of premiums paid during the competition period will then be used to determine how many entries the IFA introducer is entitled to.
• Any IFA and policy application captured for payment 20 February 2012 will not count towards the competition
• All prizes, including cash prizes are not taxed. It is the winning IFA’s responsibility to declare and account for the prizes.
• IFAs may only compete in the highest category draw that they qualify for, in other words, entries into the lower category draws are forfeited.
• The draw will be subjected to internal audit and compliance checks.
• All policies with a qualifying DOC that have been taken out as replacements to existing Clientèle policies in order to qualify for the Builders bonuses or Builders Competition, will be excluded.
• The following terms and conditions are applicable to the house prize:
  • The IFA may not sell the house nor transfer ownership of the property for the first 36 months after winning the house, unless the funds from such a transaction are utilised to secure alternate property.
  • The IFA must remain an active IFA, as defined in the IFA Contract, for the same 36-month period.

• The following terms and conditions are applicable to the car prize:
  • The IFA may not sell the car or transfer ownership of the car for the first 18 months after winning it.
  • The IFA must remain an active IFA, as defined in the IFA Contract, for the same 18-month period.
  • The car must remain black in colour and have IFA branding for no less than the first 18 months of ownership.

Builders 100

An IFA will qualify for Builders 100 as soon as 100 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once the Builders 100 status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited.

For example: If in Month 1 an IFA brings in 80 new paid policies and in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 20 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 100 status.

To qualify for the draw in this particular category, an IFA needs 100 to 199 new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the number of total premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 100 paid policies and premiums for 50 of the 100 policies are paid for six months; then Clientèle would have collected 300 premiums, which equal 30 entries. If the remaining 50 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 150 more premiums, which equal 15 entries. Therefore, the IFA will get a total of 45 entries into the draw.

Twenty Builders 100 qualifiers will each win a prize worth R3 000.
These prizes are not transferable nor can they be exchanged for cash.

Builders 200

An IFA will qualify for Builders 200 as soon as 200 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once the Builders 200 status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited.

For example: If in Month 1 an IFA brings in 80 new paid policies, in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 60 new paid policies and in Month 3 he/she secures a further 60 new paid policies; then he/she would have brought in a total of 200 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 200 status.

To qualify for the draw, an IFA needs 200 to 299 new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 200 paid policies and premiums for 100 of the 200 policies are paid for six months; then Clientèle would have collected 600 premiums, which equal 60 entries. If the remaining 100 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 300 more premiums, which equal 30 entries. Therefore, the IFA will get a total of 90 entries into the draw.

Fifteen Builders 200 qualifiers will each win a prize worth R6 500.
These prizes are not transferable nor can they be exchanged for cash.

Builders 300

An IFA will qualify for Builders 300 as soon as 300 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once the Builders 300 status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited.

For example: If in Month 1 an IFA brings in 90 new paid policies, in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 80 new paid policies and in Month 3 he/she secures a further 130 new paid policies; then he/she would have brought in a total of 300 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 300 status.

To qualify for the draw, an IFA needs 300 to 399 new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 300 paid policies and premiums for 100 of the 300 policies are paid for six months; then Clientèle would have collected 600 premiums, which equal 60 entries. If the remaining 200 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 600 more premiums, which equal 60 entries. Therefore, the IFA will get a total of 120 entries into the draw.

Ten Builders 300 qualifiers will each win a prize worth R15 000.
These prizes are not transferable nor can they be exchanged for cash.

Builders 400

An IFA will qualify for Builders 400 as soon as 400 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once the Builders status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited.

For example: If in Month 1 an IFA brings in 90 new paid policies, in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 80 new paid policies, in Month 3 he/she secures a further 130 new paid policies and in Month 4 increases the count by 100 more new paid policies; then he/she would have brought in a total of 400 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 400 status.

To qualify for the draw, an IFA needs 400 to 599 new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 400 paid policies and premiums for 100 of the 400 policies are paid for six months; then Clientèle would have collected 600 premiums, which equal 60 entries. If the remaining 300 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 900 more premiums, which equal 90 entries. Therefore, the IFA will get a total of 150 entries into the draw.

Five Builders 400 qualifiers will each win a home improvement prize from Builders Warehouse to the value of R40 000.
These prizes are not transferable nor can they be exchanged for cash.

Builders 500

An IFA will qualify for Builders 500 as soon as 500 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once the Builders 500 status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited .

For example: If in Month 1 an IFA brings in 90 new paid policies, in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 130 new paid policies, in month 3 he/she secures a further 130 new paid policies and in Month 4 increases the count by 150 new paid policies; then he/she would have brought in a total of 500 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 500 status.

To qualify for the draw, an IFA needs 500 to 599 new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 500 paid policies and premiums for 200 of the 500 policies are paid for six months; then Clientèle would have collected 1200 premiums, which equal 120 entries. If the remaining 300 policies are paid for three months Clientèle would have collected 900 more premiums, which equal 90 entries. Therefore, the IFA will get a total of 210 entries into the draw.

One Builders 500 qualifier will win a cash prize of R100 000.

Builders 600

An IFA will qualify for Builders 600 as soon as 600 new paid policies, within the competition period, are recorded against him/her. Once this status has been achieved it cannot be forfeited.

For example: If in Month 1 the IFA brings in 100 new paid policies, in Month 2 he/she adds an additional 120 new paid policies, in Month 3 he/she secures a further 130 new paid policies, in Month 4 increases the count by 120 new paid policies and in Month 5 has 130 more new paid policies; then he/she would have brought in a total amount of 600 new paid policies. The IFA will be awarded the Builders 600 status.

To qualify for the draw, an IFA needs 600 or more new paid policies with payment dates 20 March 2011 to 20 January 2012.

The number of draws that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

Example: If an IFA has 600 paid policies and premiums for 400 of the 600 policies are paid for six months, then Clientèle would have collected 2400 premiums, which equal 240 entries. If the remaining 200 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 600 more premiums, which equal 60 entries. Therefore the IFA will get a total of 300 entries into the draw.

One Builders 600 qualifier will win a black IFA-branded Mercedes Benz valued at about R400 000.
This prize is not transferable nor can it be exchanged for cash.

Builders 100-600 lucky draw: R1 000 000 House

To qualify for the lucky draw, an IFA needs to be a Builders 100-600 qualifier, as specified in the relevant Builders categories.

The number of entries that an IFA is entitled to will be determined by the total number of premiums paid during the competition period. Every 10 premiums paid equal one entry into the draw.

For example: If an IFA has 600 paid policies and premiums for 400 of the 600 policies are paid for six months, then Clientèle would have collected 2400 premiums, which equal 240 entries. If the remaining 200 policies are paid for three months, Clientèle would have collected 600 more premiums, which equal 60 entries. Therefore the IFA will get a total of 300 entries into the draw.

One IFA will win a house to the value of R1 000 000

• The lucky draw prize is not transferable nor can it be exchanged for cash.
• The winnings may not be used for anything other than the purchase of property.
• If the winner already has a property, then IFA will negotiate with him/her as to how the winnings will be paid out. Payout options include depositing the R1million prize money into the IFA’s bond account (if he/she has one); upgrading the IFA’s existing property to the tune of R1millon; buying a property if he does not have one; or using the winnings as a deposit (accommodating the winners personal circumstances to the mutual agreement of both parties).
• The winner must disclose his winnings and pay tax for them.
